Hiking

For Presidents Day, we went on a hike in the morning in the San Tan Mountains.  The kids did good hiking, even the younger kids.  Payton and Jaden were just goofing around, and Jaden bragged that he could carry Payton the rest of the way down.  It was about a quarter mile, and he did it.  I had to run ahead of them to get this picture, because Jaden wouldn't stop and pose.  This is an action shot.  After a little while the three older kids were far ahead of us, because of Landon having a meltdown having to go to the bathroom.  Nate wanted to play a little trick on the older kids, so we went off the trail and took a short cut back to the car.  We beat them by several minutes, but they just said we cheated.  Hey, we had to get Landon to the bathroom.  =)
