The Young Women were in charge of planning the combined activity for October, and we decided to do a fear factor type game. All the youth were divided up into teams, and we did relays and some gross challenges. Jaden did the donut eating contest. If the donut fell off the string you had to eat it off the tarp under your feet.
All the kids had a good time playing these games. The some of the gross ones were "Blended Surprise" which was a Big Mac, fries and a lemonade all blended together. A leader and a youth from each team had to drink a glass to win. There was gummy worms in a container full of pudding, and you had to use your face to get the worms out. The other gross one was a kitty litter container with the kitty litter in it, and tootsie rolls, that looked like cat poop. The players would have to dig through it to find little pieces of paper with combinations on it to unlock their teammates. Only one of the pieces of paper had the correct combo, so you would have to go back and keep digging to get the right one.
This game that Payton is doing is the lemon sucking one. Each member of the team would have to run over to the table and suck all the juice out of a lemon and spit it in a cup. After everyone had a turn, the cups were measured to see which team won that event.
