9/11- 10 year anniversary

The Town of Gilbert got a piece of a beam from one of the Twin Towers in New York, and built a very nice memorial.  It was unveiled on 9/11 at a special ceremony.
There are many marble benches surrounding the memorial, but this one was special to Nate because it was dedicated to all of the firefighters that had died in the Twin Towers collapse.  Also surrounding the Twin Towers beam are marble slabs with the name of every person killed that day, etched in the marble.  It is so sad to walk around and read the names, and to see how many people died.
Since 9/11 was on a Sunday this year, we went to Sacrament Meeting first and then headed to the memorial.  Nate wore his dress uniform to church.  He looked so snazzy!

This is the 10 year anniversary, and Jaden hardly remembers when it happened, Payton doesn't remember, Dallin was a few months old, and the other 2 weren't even born yet.  I want to make a big deal about this day every year, so that the kids don't take it for granted, or forget what was done to America.  We should never forget!!  I am glad that we were able to go to this memorial, and remember those that died.
